Water Lens Telescope (by Jason W. Higley)

This is a water lens telescope made from shrink wrap and a coffee can. I used a coffee can and stretched regular shrink wrap (Costco has a very clear wrap) over the end. When the telescope eyepiece is placed at the focal point you can see a knot in the wood on the pole/column outside. Even at the camera's maximum magnification it cannot show that much detail. The water lens is a plano convex lens. I put a first surface mirror below it to see outside. BY JASON W. HIGLEY
